*DO YOU KNOW?*
Every human being on earth either male or female were created by God and are equal before God? Thus, we all have dreams, aspirations and desires but it has become a menace in our society especially Africa, right from time that a woman is regarded as "a second class citizen" without rights.
In fact the women predicament becomes unbearable when she becomes a widow, has she is left all alone to fend for her children. She then faces exploitation, oppression, injustice and deprived of basic necessities of life. She also suffers psychological, mental and physical trauma.
To this effect, a bill has been passed into law cited as the harmful traditional practices affecting the health and welfare of women and children law 2005 in Ondo state, against anyone who indulges in any act of injustice, oppression and exploitation, whatsoever against the widows, orphans and the less privileged in the society. Thus, when such individual is caught it attracts two years imprisonment.
Widows deserves to be loved, treated with respect, given equal rights, opportunity to actualize their dreams, aspirations and also to make productive contribution as full citizens of the society.
Remember women's right are human rights.
