We moved round the two communities with posters conveying messages in both English language and Yoruba language against COVID 19 so as to sensitize the community members on how to prevent themselves from the deadly disease, COVID 19. We gathered them while ensuring social distancing to give them skill acquisition on HAND WASH LIQUID SOAP and HAND SANITIZER.
Our entry point to Ipinsa community was through the king of Ipinsa Oba Alapinsha of Ipinsha - Oba(Dr) Omoniyi Olufunmilayo(JP) who supported by mobilizing his people and by being part of the training program.
In view of the awareness, protective and preventive measures were discussed after which the materials that are of low and affordable prices used in making HAND WASH LIQUID SOAP and HAND SANITIZER were not only shown to the community members but also mixed and prepared in their presence.
The procedures were explained to them and the end product which is the HAND WASH LIQUID SOAP and HAND SANITIZER was distributed to the community members.
The sensitization program was efficient and a result oriented one.
