STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT TRAINING SESSION BETWEEN NATIONAL ORIENTATION  AGENCY AND WOMENLED NGO'S.

Social distancing and use of nose mask were in action at the meeting.

The Director of NOA Mr Bode Famose and other officers were in the meeting to discuss  the  involvelment of women organisations in response to covid 19 as required and supported by UNICEF.

After welcoming address by the president Mrs Esan Folake of St Joavics and prayer by Mrs Ologun the meeting commenced.

HIGHLIGHTS OF DISCUSSIONS  ARE AS FOLLOWS:-
Mr Bode Famose informed the house about their plan to work with the Association to reach Children and Women in the communities as per UNICEF response in monitoring and sensitization on the virus.

-According to the reporting pillars we belong to the risk communication pillar.
-Our sensitizations to various groups must be in accordance to the rules, individually or group of not more than 10,

-He stressed the preventive measures as:-
Wash your hands for 20 seconds and the seconds start from actual washing with water.Washing should involve within your fingers,back hands and thumbs etc.( see illustration poster).

-Interraction of the virus with soap and water for at least 20 secs will kill the virus.
-Use alcohol based sanitizer always.
-Sneeze or cough into your elbow
-Use nose mask because the virus get transmitted through droplets,spits and sneezes from any infected person hence your nose/face mask will prevent  transmission.
-Ensure social distancing about 2metres between yourself and anyone around you and either sneezing or coughing .
-Avoid touching your eyes,nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
-He advised all to follow all laid down preventive instructions as highlighted by NCDC  and call the neccesary numbers to give informations of suspected infections.
-He said the  distribution of palliatives are still ongoing  and measures of distribution  to avoid rushing and also ensure fairness are being worked out.
-He also advised all organisations to showcase their activities on various social media especcially organisation website.

RESPONSES  from Mrs Esan and Mrs Adebayo and some members are-:There should be more testing laboratories.
-The distribution of the palliatives will be well  and better handled  by community leaders and NGO's.
-NGO's should be given due recognition in sensitization and other issues since they are working directly in the various communities.
NGO's should be given palliatives for their groups/community members.
-Public should be sensitized about handling ,usage and maintenance of nose masks.
-we should also embrace prayers.

-He responded  as a member of the covid 19 committee that, he will discussed all the issues raised with relevant authorities .
-He explained the use of  the nose mask and gave 1 to each attendees.
-All sensitizations  activities by various organizations should be reported  with photographs for verifications which will be sent to UNICEF as efforts in response to covid 19 as women organizations.
-More training will be scheduled as required.
-The Director and his team were apprecciated for their visits.
Attendees were given materials as flyers and posters for sensitizations.
10 organizations were in attendance.
